FST respects your privacy. The purpose of this policy statement is to inform you of the information FST collects from you when you visit our website, how we use it, who we share it with and any third-party recipients of information from our site.

For users of our website, in some or all cases we collect name, address, telephone number, email address, amount of money paid to FST, course selection, CFP ID number, employee ID number, username, password, answers to course test questions, the calculated score for each test, dates and times of use, website cookies, logs of action on the FST website, server logs, any information sent to FST by you or your browser, and email and other communications sent to and from users and to and from their firms/employers.
Although FST collects certain data, users may not have access to all the data we collect. Users may only have access to data FST agrees to provide, such as course name, test score and date of submission of course completion data to the CFP® Board of Standards. FST retains all data subject to our data retention policies. However, there is no guarantee, implied or otherwise, that such data will be available at a future date. It is the user’s responsibility to save his or her individual records of courses, completions, scores, etc.
How We Use the Information We Collect
We use the information we collect to provide our products and services, ensure compliance with the Terms of Use, to report scores, status, and course completion information to the appropriate agencies or firms as requested by you or in the case of our firm clients, by your employer and to communicate with you now or in the future by email or other means. We may also use aggregated user data in or for research and analysis related to the website or to our business, such as customer demand, usage and other statistical factors, or for any other legal purpose. Any data used in this way will not include information identifying individual users. Such data and any related analysis and research, if any, may be released to third parties. We may also release user data to the requesting parties in response to a court subpoena or warrant.
Who We Share it With
We share data with our third party vendors and affiliated companies and contractors, such as our web services providers, web store service, database and web programming providers and the like to the extent needed to build, operate and improve our services. We do not share or sell identifying information about you to any other party for marketing or sales purposes.
If you provide FST with your CFP® ID number, we share your name, CFP® ID number, course name and CFP® course registration number, and date of course completion with the CFP® Board of Standards.
If your firm enrolls you, we share all user data with your firm’s designated administrator(s).
Security of Your Personal Information
FST carefully protects your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration or destruction. Your personal information is never shared, except under the conditions explained above. We take precautions to safeguard data, including in some cases data encryption, however data may be stored, transmitted between computers and via email in unencrypted form.
Use of Cookies
The technology we use to provide online courses requires the use of a cookie (a small data file sent to and from our site and stored on your computer by your browser). A cookie is used from the time you login to our site and its use is required for the duration of your session (until you logout). The cookie helps us to identify, track and match your actions on our site with your records in our database. We do not use cookies to track your actions on other websites, or to learn information about you not related to your use of our site.
Collection of Payment Data
FST utilizes KAGI – a third party web store – to process all credit/debit card or other payments for our courses. Users access KAGI’s website through a link on our purchase screen. By following that link you can access KAGI’s Privacy and Security Policies. Please direct any questions regarding these policies directly to KAGI.
KAGI does not provide us with your financial account number or the expiration date or the card identification value for credit or debit cards. FST may be given the payment type, account holder name and address, and any responses provided by your financial institution concerning the validity of the information you have provided to KAGI. FST uses such information for the sole purpose of confirming that all courses accessed by users represent valid purchases.
GOOGLE DoubleClick DART Cookie
Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.

FST reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time. Any changes will be posted within this Privacy Policy and, unless stated otherwise, will only affect any information that FST collects after the date of the posting of the change.
